Privacy Policy

As part of the normal operation of Barter plus' services, Barter plus collects and, in some cases, discloses information about a Client to third parties. By accepting our trading rules Client expressly consents to Barter plus’ use and disclosure of Client’s personally identifiable information.

The information Barter plus collects about the Client is maintained in an electronic and physical file in the Barter plus office and is used to assess Client’s qualification for membership, to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, comply with law enforcement inquiries and enforce Barter plus’ Client Agreement.

Throughout the Barter plus website, Client can search and view information on other clients. As a result, other clients and third parties might send Client unsolicited correspondence. As a seller in the Barter plus network, Client may be sent via e-mail or by other online means the contact number, e-mail address and other information of the interested buyer(s) and as a buyer Client may be sent via e-mail the contact number, e-mail address and other information of the seller.

Client agrees that, with respect to other Clients’ personally identifiable information obtained through Barter plus, Client may use such information only for:

a) Trade exchange related communications;
b) Advertising/promotion purposes inclusive of Client’s names, logos and other branding items, and
c) Any other purpose to which such Client expressly consents after adequate disclosure of the purpose(s).

Client shall not disclose or share Barter plus passwords and/or identification numbers with any third parties. If Client loses control of passwords and/or identification numbers, Client may lose substantial control over personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on other Clients’ behalf. If password or identification numbers have been compromised for any reason, Client should immediately contact Barter plus.
